Fly Ash is a very fine ash produced from coal combustion that is carried along with flue gas to the electrostatic precipitator (ESP) or bag filter in a coal-fired power plant (PLTU).
Main Characteristics of Fly Ash :
• Particle shape : very fine, similar to cement
• Color : light gray to dark gray
• Particle size : approximately ± 1–100 microns
• Structure : microscopically, many particles are spherical (spherical particles)

Bottom Ash is the ash that is not carried away by flue gases and falls to the bottom of the boiler furnace during coal combustion.
Main Characteristics of Bottom Ash :
• Shape : coarse, like sand or small gravel
• Color : dark gray to black
• Particle size : approximately 0.5 mm – 50 mm
• Texture : porous and not fine
